Biped Project update 2

So now we started on 3D modelling, this is how far I got during our first week with James Stone. I focused on getting my edge loops to work and to eliminate and triangles that might pop op in the model. Next week we're going to work on the suit, boots and accessories.

Biped Project update 1

So the first week of the biped project we had anatomy class and then character design. I came up with this guy. Meet Spaceman Gregg. Lost and forgotten on an abandoned space station he has become insane by loneliness and is afraid of every sound he hears. He lost his arm sometime during his long stay at the station and has strapped on a mechanical arm. He can't use or control the arm but is comforted by its presence.

Week 2 of the biped project. We created a turnaround for our character and created the maquette seen below. Click on it for a larger image.

Project 4550

So we have this project at school called “4550” which basically means “Project from week 45 to week 50” and the subject is “A Mediterranean villager Jim Henson style”. So we have to make our model with the features of a muppet.

The six weeks are going to contain concept creation, modeling, rigging, lighting, shading and rendering.
Currently we have completed the idea and concept stage and are now focusing on modeling, rigging and staging. These images are my works in progress.

Value Class

Assignment this week was "Robot Graveyard". We had to incoorporate all we had learned these past two weeks. Design, composition, perspective drawing and value.

Perspective Class

So this week we had a crash cource in perspective drawing and simple rendering. For the assignment we got 7-8 photos with different buldings from different cultures and timeperiods and we had to pic and choose parts of the buildings and combine them into a single perspective drawing. This is what I came up with.

Design 1

So this last week we had Introduction to Design. We were introduced to the techniques and principles that can convey a mood even without a motive.
For the first assignment (First picture) we had to eat dark chocklate and draw a shape that we associated with it.
The second assignment as "Create an abstraction for Sci-Fi, horror or Romance" I chose Sci-Fi.
The last assignment was "Jungle"
We were not allowed to use anything but Black and White, no graytones and abstract shapes.

Maquette Design

So last week we had to make a marquette design from an audiobook about a little girl and some wolfs in the walls of the house. This is what my marquette looked like.

Introduction to filmmaking

Slowness from Rune Månsson on Vimeo.

The first two weeks at the Animation Workshop in Viborg, students are put in groups of 4-5 people. They don't know each other or each others abilities and they have to produce a 30 sec video sequence with what ever abilities they have.

Each group is supplied with a Podcast that they have to pick and choose from to create their own story. This is what my group came up with. Randomness :) Maria, Lea and Ann-Helen did the animation, Pedro and I stood for pre and post production.

Design Intro

So today we were to create our dream car in photoshop by cutting out elements of other cars and collaging them back together. This is what I came up with. It's a combination of a VW Scirocco, Ford Cobra, Bentley and some veteran car :)

Photoshop 101

School assignment. We had Anne Laure To as a teacher for a week and she gave us this assignment: Create a concept with a character of your choice, place this character in an environment that matches him/her and make it fight a happy meal.
She was originally given this assignment herself by McD to promote toys that would be included in the happy meal.
